Hot Tarmac, Mother’s Day & A Drop Of Vino

Phew, another Mother’s Day done and dusted. We were really busy this year and almost doubled the amount of flower deliveries we completed in comparison to last year. Everyone worked really hard and after a couple of late nights, some take away meals delivered to the shop and a drop of celebratory wine we delivered all our orders in a timely fashion.

No rest for the wicked of course and straight back in to work Monday to find Chiltern Road being resurfaced with limited access for staff and customers to the shop. Fortunately the contractors have been making great progress and as I write this on Tuesday 1st April they have already completed the resurfacing from the West Street end to the Junction with Worthington Road and West Parade so customers can again drive down and park outside the shop.

One of the workmen has even been in to buy some flowers and we’ve been very grateful to our loyal customers who did have to park some way away and walk up to the shop.  We’d imagined the shop would be very quiet but not so!

Finally a quick gallery of some of the flowers that have gone out this week, plus some of the road works in progress.
